DENVER — Supermarket workers here are scheduled to vote this week on a “last, best and final offer” submitted yesterday by Kroger and Safeway, according to United Food & Commercial Workers Local 7. Employees have voted to strike if they cannot reach an agreement in the long-running contract dispute, but such a work stoppage has not been approved by the UFCW headquarters in Washington.
