GREENSBORO, N.C. — Shares of The Fresh Market here tumbled Wednesday after the company reported weaker than expected third-quarter earnings. The fast-growing chain reported net income growth of 19%, to $10.9 million, on sales gains of 22.1%, to $321.5 million, compared with the third quarter of a year ago.
