MINNEAPOLIS — Nash Finch Co. here is scheduled to have grand openings this week for two new Family Fresh Market stores — the third and fourth locations for the fresh-focused banner.
Ribbon-cuttings are scheduled in River Falls, Wis., on Tuesday, and Farmington, Minn., on Wednesday. The wholesaler debuted the banner in Hudson, Wis., in 2008 by converting a former Econofoods store there, and had since added another store in New Richmond, Wis. The stores feature an emphasis on high-quality perishables, natural and organic products, and service meat, seafood and bakery departments.
The new River Falls Family Fresh store was previously an Econofoods location and has 41,300 square feet a selling space, a company spokeswoman told SN. The Farmington Family Fresh previously had been a Savers Choice store and includes 22,700 square feet of selling space.
“We are excited to bring the Family Fresh Market shopping experience to the communities of River Falls, and Farmington,” said Tom Swanson, vice president, retail operations, in a prepared statement. “We designed our Family Fresh Market format to offer our customers incredibly fresh and high-quality products such as produce, meat, seafood, natural and organic in a price competitive format.”
