JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As a means to prepare for the hurricane season, Winn-Dixie here said Wednesday it would install 500-kilowatt generators in 66 of its stores in areas affected in recent years by power failures due to hurricanes and tropical storms. The new diesel-powered generators are capable of running an entire store, including coolers and freezers, the retailer said.
