LOS ANGELES — The largest certifying agency of kosher food, The Orthodox Union, is guiding tours at select Ralphs locations to help shoppers identify products that are Kosher for Passover.
Jewish law forbids the consumption of leavened grain products or related goods during Passover so even foods that meet year-round kosher regulations can be unacceptable during the religious holiday. Passover begins at sundown on April 6 and ends the evening of April 14.
“Are you wondering what to buy for your Seder meals? Marvel at the new products this year. What can we use…what can’t we use,” states the OU in promotional materials.
