TORONTO -- Longo's Fruit Markets here, which operates 25 stores in Canada, announced it is providing customers with mobile applications to enhance and personalize the online shopping experience available through its Grocery Gateway site.
In partnership with Unata, a digital shopper marketing company also based here, Longo’s is enabling shoppers to order groceries using a Grocery Gateway iPhone app or mobile web app, accessible by visiting GroceryGateway.com. According to Longo’s, this is the first Canadian mobile app to support grocery delivery, allowing shoppers to easily orders, view previously purchased items, select a delivery time, and securely checkout with any credit card.
The launch marks the first phase of a partnership between Longo’s and Unata; the second phase will focus on using Unata's Shopper Marketing Platform to enhance the in-store shopping experience at Longo's.

Unata's platform connects to a retailer's systems and uses customer data, including transaction history, to deliver a personalized experience to shoppers across any mobile device. It enables the retailer to send targeted offers, for both transactional and non-transactional events, to engage shoppers inside and outside of the store.
