EVERETT, Mass. — A Whole Foods Market commissary here uses canola oil not only for recipes but to run a custom-designed generator that provides nearly all the electricity for the 70,000-square-foot building, according to a report in the Boston Globe. The generator is powering lights, refrigerators, appliances and other equipment used to prepare food sold in 62 stores from Maine to New Jersey, the report said.
