Safeway Uses YouTube to Promote Contest

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway is featuring YouTube videos of the nine student finalists in its seventh annual Lucerne “Art of Dairy” contest.

This week, the Safeway Facebook page posts a link to a video featuring finalist Ariana Enriquez of Chandler, Ariz. Videos for other contestants are also available.

Safeway, Whole Foods Top Seafood Sustainability List

Contestants were asked to create an art design on a cow template that incorporates at least two of Safeway’s Lucerne private-label dairy products. The public can vote through May 15 at www.artofdairy.com.

The grand-prize winner will get $20,000 for their school's art department, plus $5,000 for themselves and $5,000 for their teacher.
