Store-brand categories to watch include pain remedies, deli salads/prepared foods and OTC medications, as all three experienced strong dollar and unit sales growth. Meanwhile, store-brand dollar sales increased by 0.7% in supermarkets last year to $59.2 billion for the 52 weeks ending Nov. 24, 2012, compared with the same period the previous year, according to Nielsen.
