Walmart is merchandising a new exclusive line of refrigerated sides called Signature Sidekicks by Robert Irvine, in Garlic Balsamic Broccoli, Sesame Ginger Stir Fry, Braised Collard Greens and Provencal Rataouille varieties. Each bag contains precut and measured vegetables and other ingredients.
"Chef Robert Irvine exclusively approached Walmart with his Sidekicks line because of our strong distribution and trusted name that could deliver these fresh side dishes to our stores across the U.S. We have a commitment to quality, healthier products at an affordable price, as well as helping families save time, so we thought this was a great partnership," Walmart spokesperson Marilee McInnis told SN.
The line also appealed to Walmart since a portion of the proceeds go to the Robert Irvine Foundation which supports members of the military and their families.
“I am excited to announce that my Signature Sidekicks are rolling out to Walmart stores nationwide right now!” said chef Robert Irvine in a Facebook post, Monday. “My personal recipes, fresh ingredients, 3 easy steps, and less than 10 minutes to prepare. A portion of the proceeds goes to my foundation to support our military and their families.”
