ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Sixteen E. coli illnesses have been reported in New York associated with salad mixes sold at Wegmans Food Markets, the retailer announced. In response, Wegmans has recalled 31,000 pounds of Organic Spinach and Spring Mix salads sold in 5-ounce and 11-ounce clamshell containers from Oct. 14-Nov. 1 at stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts.
