United Fresh is seeking nomations for its Retail Produce Manager Awards and Produce Excellence in Foodservice Awards. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 28. The winning produce managers and chefs and a corporate representative will receive a free trip to the United Fresh Produce show in Chicago on June 10, where they will be given an award at Produce Celebration Gala.
Chefs are recognized in seven business categories: business industry, casual and family dining restaurants, colleges & universities, fine dining restaurans, hotels and healthcare industry, K-12 school foodservice and quick serve restaurants based on creativity in menu design using produce, produce handling knowledge, events and outreach and recoginition by peers.
The retail produce manager awards are given to 25 managers for outreach, innovative merchandising and customer service.
The nominations for the produce managers and chefs can be submitted online.
