LOS GATOS, Calif. — FoodLink here said Tuesday that it has reached a 10-year agreement to provide an online buying platform for several categories of fresh product for Ahold USA.
“Ahold has long been an important customer for FoodLink, and this new agreement highlights not just their support of FoodLink, but also the priority Ahold places on sourcing and managing fresh, safe food across a large and complex supply chain,” said Eric Peters, chief executive officer, FoodLink.

FoodLink will be the “perishables buying solution of record” for Ahold’s Stop & Shop, Giant-Landover and Giant-Carlisle chains for all fresh produce, meat, seafood, deli and floral product.
FoodLink is a buying platform that connects participants in the perishables supply chain, including retailers, suppliers, carriers and third-party brokers and wholesalers.
