LAS VEGAS — Albertsons said it is testing a Goodwill section at a store here that, if successful, will be expanded to eight more stores in this market.
The Goodwill section is located in a 500-square-foot leased area that was formerly occupied by a bank. Called Goodwill Select, the section features a higher quality of donated clothing and accessories than is available at most freestanding Goodwill locations, an Albertsons spokeswoman told SN.
She said Goodwill of Southern Nevada intends to use funds from merchandise sold at Albertsons to invest in job-placement services.
