GREENVILLE, S.C. — Bi-Lo said it would commit $6 million to improvements at its stores in Chattanooga, Tenn., local reports said.
The chain said it would complete “clean-and-bright” projects at five stores in the Chattanooga market this year and planned additional remodel projects in the market in 2013, according to a report in the Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper.

The company, which earlier this year merged with Winn-Dixie and is shifting many of its corporate functions to that company’s headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla., expects to add 20 to 25 new employees at every remodeled store.
