NEW YORK — Hess Corp. here on Monday said it would seek to sell all of its gas stations and convenience stores so it can focus exclusively on energy exploration and production.
The company, based here, operates 1,350 gas stations on the East Coast serving 1.3 million customers a day. Many locations include Hess Express convenience stores or co-branded fast food franchises such as Dunkin' Donuts.
The company in a release said it hoped to complete divestitures by the end of 2014.
