Italian American Group to Honor Roundy's Mariano

MILWAUKEE -- Robert A. Mariano, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Roundy's Supermarkets here, will receive the award for Special Achievement in Business from the National Italian American Foundation at its annual Ambassador's Dinner in Chicago on April 12. Also scheduled to receive achievement awards in their respective fields are singer Vic Damone; actors Dennis Farina and Joe Mantegna; Robert Thomas, chief justice of the Illinois Supreme Court; and Renato Turano, a Chicago native who is a senator of the Italian Republic. Giovanni Castellaneta, Italy's ambassador to the U.S., will host the event.
