Kroger Names Gust to Lead Fred Meyer
CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here said Friday it has elevated Lynn Gust to be president of the company’s Fred Meyer Stores division.

CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here said Friday it has elevated Lynn Gust to be president of the company’s Fred Meyer Stores division.
Gust, 59, has been senior vice president of operations since 2011. He joined Fred Meyer as a parcel clerk in 1970 and has held a variety of leadership positions, including vice president of the Food Group, senior vice president of the Store Operations Group, and executive vice president of corporate merchandising and advertising.

In his new role, he succeeds Mike Ellis, who was named senior vice president of Kroger last month.
"Lynn's long history with Fred Meyer and deep knowledge of our business will serve our customers well," said Rodney McMullen, president and chief operating officer of Kroger. "His passion for our employees and customers make him a great fit to carry on the Fred Meyer tradition."
Kroger’s Fred Meyer Stores division, based in Portland, Ore., operates 133 supercenters in four Western states.
