BUTTE, Mont. — United Food and Commercials Workers Local 4 here and UFCW Local 8, Great Falls, Mont., have voted to ratify agreements with employers Safeway and Albertsons, the UFCW said. The workers had been without a contract for more than a year, but negotiated a tentative agreement with employers last month. The new contract provides for yearly wage increases for journeymen and significant progression increases for all workers, the union said.
