COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Grocers Association here said it has given its annual Pinnacle Award to Fresh Encounter in the multi-store category and to Kishman’s IGA in the single-store category for their significant contributions to the Ohio food industry and overall retail excellence. Fresh Encounter, Findlay, Ohio, was cited for its community focus that provides “a satisfying shopping experience … while at the same time getting [customers] in and out quickly.” Kishman’s IGA, Minerva, Ohio, has been a focal point in the community for many years, OGA said, “[and] their customers are their friends and family.” Kishman’s was also cited for its use of technology and for its “aggressive and progressive approach to servicing customers.”
