MIAMI — Okey-Dokey, the small-format grocery chain founded by Russian retail magnates, is planning a “soft opening” of its first location next week, a company spokesman told SN Thursday.
The store, located in the Miami suburb of Kendall, Fla., will be followed by a second location in Opalaka, Fla., set to open before the end of this month, the spokesman, Roy Sartin, said.

As previously reported in SN, Okey-Dokey is being developed by executives who built Russia’s Pyaterochka and Karusel retail chains. The group, operating as Agro-Trade International, said it plans as many as eight stores this year and 50 a year beginning in 2013, around the greater Miami area.
