SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Piggly Wiggly Midwest here said Monday that it would supply a new banner, to be known as Farmer’s Market Place, that will open next year at the site of a Piggly Wiggly store in Grayslake, Ill.
The Grayslake Piggly Wiggly will close Dec. 15, after which a new franchisee, Vicky Kouantas, will begin work renovating the building to create the Farmer’s Market Place store. That store, expected to open April 1, will feature a large selection of international foods and will double the size of the existing produce department, Piggly Wiggly officials said.
