Piggly Wiggly in Union Tiff to Close: Report

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Piggly Wiggly Midwest here told state labor authorities this week that it would close a store at the center of a dispute with its union workers.

As reported previously in SN, the Piggly Wiggly store last month was ordered by the National Labor Relations Board to restore the status of workers whose hours were cut last year while the union representing them and Piggly Wiggly settled a dispute over whether the retailer had the authority to make those changes.

The company this week told state authorities that the store would close in September, affecting 100 jobs, The Sheboygan Press said.

Labor Unions....A Good Thing or a Bad Thing? This should answer that question!
They will negotiate workers right out of a job! They should THANK PIGGLY WIGGLY for giving them a job PERIOD!!! Some or part of a job is a better than NO JOB in Today's World!

When all middle class are working for minimum wage with no benefits, then all of the union haters will be happy.

But you realize Mr. Minimum wage that the middle class just lost 100 jobs because the Union wouldn't allow store operators to cut back hours during a recession. Just as the man said above you. Having a job is better than no job.
