SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets here is expected to open its newest store Tuesday in Gardner, Mass.

The 60,000-square-foot store will be the 130th in the chain and its 16th in Massachusetts. Price Chopper opened a store in Hopkinton, Mass., last month.

The new store, built at the site of a former factory, is designed to be energy efficient and will include service seafood, meat, bakery, deli and floral departments; prepared foods including a café; and a pharmacy. Its local competitors include Hannaford Bros. and Stop & Shop.
