KEASBEY, N.J. — Wakefern Food Corp. here said it would celebrate the opening of its newest PriceRite discount unit on Sunday in Syracuse, N.Y.
The store, located at 1605 Erie Blvd., marks the 10th PriceRite location in New York. Built from the ground up, the store features several “green technologies,” including glass doors on dairy cases, and energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration through the store, Wakefern said.

PriceRite said its mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh and friendly” shopping experience and the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price.
A Wakefern spokeswoman said the company anticipates opening a PriceRite location in District Heights, Md., next month.
