LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix promoted a job opening on its Facebook page last week.
“If you’re into analytics and figuring out what makes people tick, we may have the position for you,” Publix said of the consumer research manager position.
The Facebook post included a link to an online application. The position will be based in Lakeland, with 10% travel. It offers a potential annual pay with bonus of $66,755 to $100,360.

Among the responsibilities: development and management of measurement, analysis and "reporting of consumer information that fosters learning, supports decision-making and facilitates planning and execution for sales and profit growth."
Among the required qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing, economics, sociology, mathematics or statistics; and four years of quantitative consumer research experience.
In other news, the Publix Facebook page reached 1 million “fans” last week.
