Schnucks Converts Logli, Highlander Stores

ROCKFORD, Ill. – Schnuck Markets has begun converting the 11 Logli and Highlander stores in this market and in Janesville, Wis., to the Schnucks banner.

“It has always been our belief that no matter what name is on the outside, inside all of our stores operate with the same focus on customers and emphasis on quality, value and service,” said Scott Schnuck, chairman and chief executive officer of the St. Louis-based company. “However, unifying our stores under one banner, our family name, is an acknowledgement to our teammates and customers of our commitment to the Rockford and Janesville communities.”

Rockford and Janesville are the only regions where Schnucks stores operate under different names. Schnucks acquired the Logli banner from its local ownership in 1998 and the Highlander banner from Kroger in 2011.

Scott Schnuck said the company “decided not to change the name [on the Logli stores] until more area customers got a chance to know Schnucks and what we stand for as a family and as a company.”

He said the conversion of all exterior signs at all 11 locations is estimated to take about two weeks.

Schnucks operates 100 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa.
