GRAND LAKES, Fla. -- SN presented awards to Supervalu, C&S Wholesale Grocers and Mike Haaf of Food Lion at the Food Marketing Institute Midwinter Executive Conference here this week. Jeff Noddle, chairman and chief executive officer, Supervalu, accepted SN‘s Champion of Diversity Award on behalf of his company, which was recognized for its far-reaching efforts at promoting a diverse workplace. For C&S, Marc Smith, co-president, and Gina Goff, director of corporate giving, accepted SN‘s Community Service Award, recognizing C&S‘ support of various community activities around the country. Haaf, senior vice president of sales, marketing and business strategy, Food Lion, was named SN‘s Marketer of the Year for his work segmenting Food Lion‘s customer base and translating those efforts into store merchandising strategies.
