LUBBOCK, Texas — Market Street, an 11-store chain operated by United Supermarkets here, will host its annual "Best of Texas" expo every weekend in July — giving consumers the opportunity to sample appetizers, entrees and desserts made from products grown and produced in Texas.

Displays inside the stores will identify featured Best of Texas items.

Items that will be sampled will include Texas-grown watermelon, peaches, tomatoes and cantaloupe; various sausage products; locally-made wines and beers; products made with jalapeños; salsas; dairy products; cookies, pecan pie and brownies; smoked turkey and smoked brisket; and coffee.

Market Street stores are located in Allen, Amarillo, Colleyville, Coppell, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Wichita Falls and three locations in Lubbock. A 12th store is scheduled to open in December in Flower Mound.
