SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Wisted’s Supermarkets will convert all three of its stores to the Piggly Wiggly banner, store owner Harold Wisted and Piggly Wiggly Midwest, based here, said Monday.
Wisted’s Supermarkets, located Marengo, Ill., Woodstock, Ill., and Huntley, Ill., will operate as Piggly Wiggly as of July 31.
“We are excited to join Piggly Wiggly,” Wisted said, adding that customers would continue to receive the same local service but with greater pricing power.
Wisted’s Piggly Wiggly stores will offer fresh produce, a bakery, a full-service deli department, a fresh meat department offering Certified Angus Beef, Gerber Amish Chicken, Farmland Pork, plus fresh and frozen seafood, and a full liquor department. In addition to a full line of store brand products, they will also feature a broad variety of imported and domestic foods including an expanded line of ethnic and specialty products.
Piggly Wiggly Midwest will now supply 104 Piggly Wiggly supermarkets in the greater Wisconsin and northern Illinois areas, as well as nine Butera Market stores and two Eurofresh stores in the Chicagoland area.
