NEW YORK — Key Food Stores Cooperative held grand opening ceremonies Friday for its newest store, a converted Bravo supermarket on Westchester Avenue in The Bronx.
Local officials and Key Food executives including Dean Janeway, chief executive officer, were expected to be in attendance.
The store is a former Bravo supermarket purchased by brothers Roy and David Diaz. The store has been renovated including expanded produce, meat, dairy, deli and frozen departments, almost quadrupling products previously offered, Key Food said. This store has also become more energy efficient with new refrigeration, freezers, lighting and register systems.
