Mariano’s Fresh Market said it will open a store at one additional former Dominick’s location — a shuttered site in Naperville, Ill., that it plans to lease.
The 11 former Dominick’s that came its way last year — 10 of which have already reopened — were acquired. Mariano’s operates 27 stores in the Chicago area, with two more set to open shortly. Naperville is a suburb west of Chicago.
The store, which covers approximately 72,000 square feet, is owned by Bradford Real Estate Cos., which has built many of the Mariano’s stores. Mariano’s is an upscale division of Roundy’s Supermarkets, Milwaukee.
