The National Grocers Association said Tuesday Leon E. Panetta, former secretary of defense and former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, will be the keynote speaker at the opening session of the 2015 NGA Show in February.

Commenting on Panetta’s selection as keynoter, NGA president and CEOPeter J. Larkin said, “One purpose of the show is to foster dialogue and insight about the current political and economic issues and how they affect independent grocers, and I can’t think of anyone more qualified and able that Leon Panetta to stimulate such a conversation.”
