CNG Ranch LLC, the company that acquired Pro’s Ranch Markets out of bankruptcy early this year, said the stores will be rebranded as Los Altos Ranch Market starting Sept. 3.
CNG — a partnership between Cardenas Markets, Ontario, Calif., and Northgate Gonzalez Market, Anaheim, Calif. — said the new name was determined by research with local Pro’s Ranch customers and employees.
The company said Los Altos is a recognized region in Mexico where both the Cardenas and Gonzalez families originated — a region it said represents the same traditions, rich culture and authenticity shoppers will find at the rebranded stores.
The newly named Los Altos Ranch Markets include seven stores in Arizona, two in New Mexico and two in Texas. CNG said it plans to continue to grow and invest in the Los Altos banner.
According to Dan Sanders, general manager for Los Altos, “Customers will notice not only the new name and logo but will also enjoy thousands of new items combined with offerings that have been traditionally stocked by Pro’s, fulfilling our commitment to provide authentic, made-from-scratch products for anyone who enjoys Hispanic tastes and flavors.”
He said the company will kick off a six-week-long celebration Sept. 3, with weekend parking-lot festivities including music and sampling, plus discounts on local sporting events and concerts.
