MINNEAPOLIS — Target confirmed Thursday that a data breach may have affected 40 million customers who made credit card and debit card purchases at the retailer between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15. Target said it was working closely with law enforcement and financial institutions, and has identified and resolved the issue.
