PEMBROKE, N.H. — Associated Grocers of New England here on Friday said it has formed a new division focused on distribution to convenience stores. The new division, called Associated Convenience Grocers, is headed by Steve Felton, division general manager. The cooperative wholesaler currently serves more than 150 convenience stores in the Northeast from its 360,000-square-foot distribution center here, which opened in early 2006. The warehouse has a separate area for piece-pick merchandise, Felton told SN. “This is something we’ve been building up to for some time, and we’re finally there,” he said, noting that his background at 7-Eleven helped in establishing the new division.
