NEW YORK — Food Cellar & Co., a new grocery store banner associated with New York’s Amish Market chain, is scheduled to debut in the Queens town of Long Island City today. The 22,000-square-foot store, located in the ground floor of a newly constructed luxury apartment building on the East River, would be the first grocery store to serve the fast-growing Queens West community and will be the largest store, and first under the Food Cellar banner, to be operated by Amish Market, which has six other stores in Manhattan and Queens. Ovidio Teja, a team leader at the company, told SN the store will feature natural and organic foods along with service perishables.
