Kroger Buys Stake in Clinic Chain

CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here yesterday said it has made a “significant investment” in The Little Clinic LLC “aimed at bringing walk-in medical clinics and consumer health solutions to stores across the country.” Kroger, which currently has 26 outlets of The Little Clinic in its stores, said its investment in the Nashville, Tenn.-based chain will fund a “substantial clinic rollout.” Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. “Our partnership with The Little Clinic is one more way Kroger makes it easy for customers to take advantage of health care options inside our family of stores,” said Donald Becker, executive vice president of merchandising, Kroger.
