Kroger, Workers Reach Contract Agreement in Louisville

CINCINNATI — Kroger here on Thursday said it had reached a preliminary agreement with union leaders on a contract covering more than 11,200 workers in Kentucky and southern Indiana. The workers, represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 227 in Louisville, agreed earlier this week to a contract extension as negotiations between Kroger and union progressed. Details on the tentative contract were not available pending ratification by union members.
