AUSTIN, Texas — Whole Foods Market yesterday announced the launch of “The Real Deal,” a new national program to offer shoppers specially priced product discounts, money-saving coupons, budget recipes and tips to help their customers “continue to enjoy quality organic and natural foods while stretching their food dollar,” the company said in a release. The centerpiece of the program is a new, 28-page quarterly value guide, featuring meal plans and recipes for shoppers on a budget, along with department-specific tips and private label product deals. Whole Foods has also partnered with coupon provider Mambo Sprouts to include money-saving coupons in the new value guide. The guide will be available beginning July 17. In addition, Whole Foods has created a space on its website where customers can upload their own tips on how to enjoy the natural and organic foods sold at Whole Foods, while sticking to their budgets.
