Delhaize America, the U.S. arm of Delhaize Group, Brussels, encompasses 1,108 Food Lions, 187 Hannafords and 66 Bottom Dollar Food Stores. It has agreed to sell the Bottom Dollar stores, whose sales are estimated at $718 million, to Aldi. Delhaize America accounts for approximately 57% of the parent company’s estimated sales of $32.2 billion (U.S.).
