LAKELAND, Fla. — For the third consecutive year, Publix Super Markets here has been named as one of Computerworld’s “Best Places to Work in IT.” Publix was ranked No. 81 on this year’s list — published in the June 18 issue of Computerworld — and was the only supermarket chain to be recognized. “We are pleased that our IT associates believe so strongly in our company and mission that we have made the list for three straight years,” said Maria Brous, director of media and community relations, in a statement. “In such a highly competitive sector, once again our core strengths of associate ownership and recognizing our associates for their valued contributions have made us a great place to work.” The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of the Top 100 work environments for technology professionals. It is based on company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention.
