Wakefern Rolls Out Web-Based Sign Production

Co-op wholesaler Wakefern Food Corp. has rolled out AccessVia’s Web dSignShop to deliver in-store signs to over 200 ShopRite member stores, AccessVia, Seattle, announced yesterday.

EDISON, N.J. — Co-op wholesaler Wakefern Food Corp. here has rolled out AccessVia’s Web dSignShop to deliver in-store signs to over 200 ShopRite member stores, AccessVia, Seattle, announced yesterday. AccessVia hosts the Web dSignShop application and manages the day-to-day operation of the Web servers. Member stores sign on to Web dSignShop to print signs with up-to-the-minute pricing and product information managed by Wakefern. With sign and shelf-label designs established by Wakefern, the stores are all displaying a uniform look with designs customized for each chain operating under the ShopRite banner. Many stores are also printing signs as they are needed in the aisles with a printer and computer on a mobile cart. Web dSignShop is designed for retailers who want to use the Internet, an intranet, or an extranet to publish signs using a Web browser without installing or maintaining in-store software.
