ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans Food Markets here is planning to test radio frequency identification tags for prescriptions, according to RFID Journal. The retailer’s goal is to make the handling of those orders more accurate and faster. The Journal said a Wegmans pharmacy processes about 2,400 prescriptions a week, with some stores ranging up to 5,000.
