The EPA has named Albertsons Cos. and Wegmans Food Markets as 2016 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award winners.
EPA recently recognized 24 organizations at a Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony for advancing the goal of chemical safety through exemplary participation in or promotion of the EPA’s Safer Choice program, which helps consumers, businesses, and purchasers find products that perform well and are safer for human health and the environment.

The EPA recognized Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons’ recent increase of its offering of Safer Choice-labeled products, and Wegmans for fostering awareness of the program through direct mail advertisements, employee education and in-store displays. Wegmans, Rochester, N.Y., carries private label and national brand products that meet Safer Choice standards within the household cleaning product, laundry detergent and dish detergent categories.
