SAN DIEGO — Last week, SN presented awards to the winners of its fourth annual Technology Excellence Awards at a dinner and ceremony at Bertrand at Mister A's restaurant here. Representatives of the winning companies, as well as a past winner, were on hand. This year's winners included Giant Eagle (chain category), Green Hills (independent category), Associated Wholesale Grocers (wholesaler category), SimonDelivers (online sales category) and Loblaw Cos. (international retailer category). As in the past, the awards dinner was scheduled to coincide with the Food Marketing Institute's Marketechnics technology show, which was held last week at the San Diego Convention Center. FMI is once again providing complimentary registrations to next year's Marketechnics show to the winning companies.
