Lexmark Acquires AccessVia

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexmark International here, a provider of printing and imaging products, announced the acquisition of Seattle-based AccessVia, a supplier of signage software used to produce retail shelf-edge materials.

Lexmark also acquired San Francisco-based Twistage, which markets a cloud software platform for managing video, audio and image content. The total acquisition price for the companies is approximately $31.5 million.

AccessVia's paper and digital signage software is used by more than 75 retailers with more than 60,000 stores, including Safeway, Family Dollar and El Corte Ingles.

"Combining AccessVia's publishing platform with Lexmark's industry expertise allows us to deliver more powerful and compelling end-to-end solutions to our customers in their distributed retail environment," said Dean A. Sleeper, AccessVia's chief executive officer, in a statement.
