Publix Selects Scales Management System

LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets here has selected InterScale, a scales management system from Applied Data Corp. (ADC), Tampa, Fla., for data transmission to and from the bar-code labeling scales in its 1,068 stores.

The system, which communicates with more than 50 types of bar-code labeling scales, is part of ADC’s InterStore fresh-item management software.
