SN is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 7th annual Technology Excellence Awards program. The program is designed to recognize food retailers and wholesalers that have demonstrated exceptional innovation and industry leadership in the use of information technology to support their operations. An award will be presented in each of three categories: chain, wholesaler and independent retailer. Nominations may be submitted by any company operating in or serving the food distribution industry, including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, brokers, consultants and technology providers; retailers and wholesalers may nominate their own companies.
Winners will be selected by SN editors based on the content of nominations and coverage by SN over the past year. The deadline for submission of nominations is March 27. Winners will be notified by the end of March, and presentations of the awards will take place on Thursday, May 7, at the Food Marketing Institute’s MARKETECHNICS show in Dallas. Winning companies will also be profiled in the May 4th issue of SN. One executive from each winning company will receive a complimentary registration for the 2010 MARKETECHNICS event in Las Vegas.
