BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Haggen Inc. here, which operates 28 supermarkets in Washington and Oregon under the Haggen Food & Pharmacy and Top Food & Drug names, announced it is working with Park City Group, a software provider in Park City, Utah, to improve store inventory and financial performance.
Driven by consumer demand, the Park City software provides a common view of shelf level inventory, enabling Haggen and its suppliers to collaborate on reducing out-of-stocks and excess inventory, increasing turns and lowering shrink rates.
Haggen said it employed the technology to drive incremental revenue and margin from key traffic-driving categories. The retailer is also planning to implement additional Park City Group systems, including scan-based trading and store ordering.
